The 30th International Conference on Computer Animation and Social Agents(CASA 2017) will be held on May 22-24, 2017 in Seoul, South Korea.
Founded in 1988, CASA is the oldest international conference in computer animation and social agents in the world, and has been the place to share the advancements in broad research areas related with computer animation and social agents.
Virtual characters and agents have traditionally played a central role in computer animation and virtual reality, but they have recently evolved to participate in the real world through the techniques for the embodied agents and mixed reality. Virtual agents will not merely augment the real world but also will interact with the real world to support human life in general. CASA 2017 will provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners related with the character animation and social agents not only for traditional applications such as digital entertainment but also for emerging fields where virtual agents meet the real world such as domestic, working, and public places.
The best 28 accepted full papers will be published in a special issue of the Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds Journal published by Wiley (CAVW), and additional 20 full and short papers will be published in the Proceedings of CASA 2017 (with an ISBN).
We seek research full papers, short papers, and posters on a broad range of research topics, including but not limited to:
